Delete your abhi becho account
Draft — not yet in force
This document has not been reviewed by a lawyer and has not been signed off by the founder. It is published so the pages that link to it are not dead, and it describes what abhi becho actually does — but it is not final, and it must not be relied on as the terms in force until this banner is gone.
You can delete your abhi becho account whenever you want. Deletion is permanent, there is a 30-day window to change your mind, and this page is the complete, honest description of what goes and what the law makes us keep.
How to delete from the app
Open your Profile and choose "Delete my account". The app shows you exactly what you will lose — listings, chats, wallet balance, reputation, your shop if you have one — and asks you to confirm. Nothing is deleted until you do.
The 30-day window
Your account is scheduled for deletion, not deleted on the spot. For 30 days you can change your mind: open the app, and cancel from the banner on your profile. After 30 days the deletion runs and cannot be undone by anyone, including us.
What is deleted
Your profile, phone number, listings, photos, chats, wallet balance, reputation and device records. Where a record must survive for someone else — a review a buyer wrote, an order a shop fulfilled — your identity on it is replaced with a pseudonym that cannot be traced back to you.
What the law makes us keep
Records with a statutory retention duty survive the deletion for their legally required period and are then destroyed: paid-order and tax records, records of dispensed Schedule-H prescriptions, and moderation and audit records. They are kept because the law requires it, they are not used for anything else, and each one has a destruction date.
Take your data with you first
Before deleting, you can download everything we hold about you from the app — Profile, "Download my data". The export is a ZIP you can keep. Do it before you delete; afterwards there is nothing left to export.
If you can no longer access the app
Write to our Grievance Officer — the contact page on this site has the details — from the phone number or email on your account, and say you want your account deleted. We verify it is really you, and then the same 30-day process runs. We will not delete an account on an unverified request, because that would let someone else delete yours.
